Ester plasticizers are typically monomerics, but those designated as Plasthall P-Series are polymerics. Hallstar has a broad product portfolio with a wide range of functionality in both elastomers and PVC. A subset of this brand is our Plasthall PR-Series which represents the group of products designed as Phthalate Replacements.
Plasthall 100 is the monoester isooctyl tallate. It has excellent compatiblity in polychloroprene as well as chlorosulfonated polyethylene and natural rubber. In polychloroprene Plasthall 100 offers good transmission fluid and water resistance and very good low temperature performance.
Plasthall® 190 is an ultra-stable, non-phthalate plasticizer, designed to enhance the performance of your adhesive, sealant and coating formulations. Plasthall® 190 is an efficient plasticizer that will reduce viscosity and provide extremely low temperature performance. It is typically used in cross-linked systems like PU, SMP, Epoxy-Polyol, Urethane-Acrylate and does not impact physicals after aging or weathering.
Plasthall 4141 is a monomeric plasticizer that exhibits extremely good compatibility with practically all types of synthetic rubber offering low volatility with high efficiency and low temperature properties.
Plasthall DBS provides excellent compatibility in a wide range of plastics and synthetic rubber. It offers superior low temperature performance and oil resistance. Plasthall DBS is used in the food packaging industry. It can also be used as a desensitizer for torpedo propellant.
Plasthall DIDP is used where general performance applications require a higher degree of permanence greater than would be obtained by using DOP. Advantages are seen in its permanence in polar fluids and volatility resistance.
Plasthall DIDS is diisodecyl sebacate. It is a useful plasticizer for PVC NBR and other vinyl copolymers. Plasthall DIDS offers good low temperature properties and improved permanence for a monomeric ester.
Plasthall P-550 is a medium molecular weight low viscosity polymeric plasticizer which has very low volatility while imparting low hardness. P-550 provides excellent processability efficiency and compatibility in a variety of thermoplastic and thermosetting resins.
Plasthall P-643 is a low to medium molecular weight polyester plasticizer. It is well suited for applications requiring FDA acceptance. Plasthall P-643 has extraction and migration resistance superior to typical monomeric plasticizers especially where stress cracking resistance is important.
Plasthall P-650 is a low to medium molecular weight polyester adipate. It offers excellent migration resistance when compared to similiar molecular weight materials while still giving good low temperature performance.
Plasthall P-670 is a low molecular weight polyester which has a solid performance history in flexible PVC. P-670 is noted for its excellent efficiency processing characteristics and low temperature properties. P-670 is a good general purpose plasticizer.
Plasthall P-7046 is an intermediate molecular weight polyester offering a good balance of low volatility resistance to extraction by organic fluids and a low tendency to migrate to polystyrene and ABS substrates.
Plasthall P-900 has been shown to provide a superior hydrophilic surface. Compounds containing P-900 are excellent candidates for water side print roll applications. Plasthall P-900 is also effective in plasticizing copolymer emulsions used in adhesive formulating.
Plasthall PR-A217 is a very low viscosity, biodegradable, polymeric plasticizer offering good permanence and ease of processing. The material exhibits exceptionally low cold flex termperatures and softening power.
SUPRMIX Plasthall 226(DBEEA) is a compound consisting of 72% Plasthall 226 and 28% substrate. SUPRMIXes permit liquids to be handles as powders. As SUPRMIX is incorporated into a rubber compound the active ingredient is released from its carrier allowing the active ingredient to function in the same manner as it would if it had been incorporated as a neat material.
