PARAPLEX G-50 is intermediate molecular weight polyester, which is best classified as a general-purpose polymeric plasticizer. It offers good permanence combined with good process ability in PVC and nitrile compounds.

PARAPLEX G-50 is most notably superior to monomeric plasticizers in resistance to extraction by oils and hydrocarbons, freedom from volatility, and resistance to migration into lacquers, rubber and typical baked finishes.

Polyvinyl chloride compounds based on PARAPLEX G-50 are very stable, as evidenced by the retention of original properties after prolonged aging at high temperatures. When used either as the sole plasticizer or in blends with other plasticizers. PARAPLEX G-50 makes an excellent pigment-grinding medium.
